Constitution 2010-118/08/10 7:34pm
.

Dear Secretaries/Team Managers,

The proposed RYDFL Constitution for Season 2010-11 is published for your consideration. On behalf of the RYDFL Management Committee, I would like to thank you for your patience and your tolerance of my nagging to complete your returns by the 31st July. I have added some notes to how I have arrived at the end result. With 3 amendments, the RYDFL Management Committee has approved the proposals. It is now up to you to review these proposals AND ensure we have your correct team names e.g. Man Utd Reds & Man Ut Greens!

The divisions in the main follow the normal rules of applying promotion and relegation. Obviously where teams have dropped out from the previous season, some adjustments have been made to keep the divisions within an age group, relatively even e.g. 3 divisions of 8. Furthermore, new teams have been welcomed in to the League and the general practice is to enter them in the lowest division. However, where specialist knowledge is known as to the pedigree of some new teams, they have been entered into a higher division, this to ensure they are competitive and not run away winners at a lower level.

The Management Committee welcome comments and are prepared to consider alternative proposals, however, time is short and consideration for change will only be sanctioned for well reasoned arguments. Please address your comments to secretary@rdyfl.co.uk . I am on holiday until 15 August - so do not expect an immediate response. There will be a full meeting of all Clubs on Tuesday 24th August when the Constitution will be subject to final acceptance by the whole league.

Regards - ERIC GILSON
RDYFL Secretary
