The appointed Referee has the power to decide the fitness of the ground in all matches. Unless the ground of a Local Authority is called off by a representative of that body. The home team must consult the referee in all cases.
2010/11 Fixtures for U10 - U18's1/09/10 6:29pm
.
The League fixtures for the U10-U18 are now released onto the web site.

May I remind you that it is your responsibility to check the fixtures and let me know ASAP if you cannot fulfil any fixtures. The home team will need to rearrange any fixtures. It is particularly important that the teams sharing pitches check their fixtures and email to me the changes that you require. Changes can be made with at least 4 weeks notice, however I will naturally give leeway to teams for the first 3 weeks of fixtures. The first round of the Primary Cup for all age groups will be on the 26th September, you should all be available to play on this date. I will arrange the draw and post these fixtures in the next week. There are no League fixtures arranged for this date, but once the draw is made, if you have a bye into the next round then you can arrange a league fixture and let me know the change so I can put it on the web site.

You can rearrange fixtures to mid week if you wish to so that you get ahead with your fixtures, please ensure that your opposition can play. Remember how difficult it was to complete fixtures at the end of last season! Those of you with 11 or 12 in a division will need to be particularly active in arranging mid week matches whilst the evening light lasts. I look forward to the hundreds of emails I will receive over the next few days!!

Good luck to you all and have a successful season win or lose, enjoy the football.

Fixtures Secretary

Login System

At the meeting on Tuesday I outlined a new feature that I have written for the RDYFL website which allows users to register and perform certain functions. There is now a new link on the front page to login, please can all Secretary’s create a user for themselves by registering. I will then change your rights to administer your own club members who sign up to the site.

As I said on Tuesday the user levels are as follows:

User – Initial registration status with no rights at all.
Results – Enables login to enter team results using the new online results system
Team Edit – Enables login and the amendment of Team Directory Data (not available yet) + Results Entry
Club Edit – Enables login, amendment of Club Directory Data(not available yet) + Team Directory Data (not available yet) + Results Entry

There is a user admin area when logged in with Club Edit rights, therefore Secretary’s should only grant Club Edit rights if they wish an individual to have the same access as a Secretary.

SECRETARIES PLEASE REGISTER TO CREATE A USER FIRST BEFORE YOUR MANAGERS THEN YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EMAIL AS THEY SIGN UP AND KNOW TO LOGIN AND UPGRADE THEIR USER RIGHTS.

Club / Team Directory Updates

The Club/Team Directory information is being updated over the next couple of weeks, please bear with me.
Eventually you will be able to edit this data yourselves.
Any Questions please ask before the season starts,

Andy Bagshaw
Webmaster

Constitution 2010-118/08/10 7:34pm
.

Dear Secretaries/Team Managers,

The proposed RYDFL Constitution for Season 2010-11 is published for your consideration. On behalf of the RYDFL Management Committee, I would like to thank you for your patience and your tolerance of my nagging to complete your returns by the 31st July. I have added some notes to how I have arrived at the end result. With 3 amendments, the RYDFL Management Committee has approved the proposals. It is now up to you to review these proposals AND ensure we have your correct team names e.g. Man Utd Reds & Man Ut Greens!

The divisions in the main follow the normal rules of applying promotion and relegation. Obviously where teams have dropped out from the previous season, some adjustments have been made to keep the divisions within an age group, relatively even e.g. 3 divisions of 8. Furthermore, new teams have been welcomed in to the League and the general practice is to enter them in the lowest division. However, where specialist knowledge is known as to the pedigree of some new teams, they have been entered into a higher division, this to ensure they are competitive and not run away winners at a lower level.

The Management Committee welcome comments and are prepared to consider alternative proposals, however, time is short and consideration for change will only be sanctioned for well reasoned arguments. Please address your comments to secretary@rdyfl.co.uk . I am on holiday until 15 August - so do not expect an immediate response. There will be a full meeting of all Clubs on Tuesday 24th August when the Constitution will be subject to final acceptance by the whole league.

Regards - ERIC GILSON
RDYFL Secretary
